Let’s get updated with the latest international honors won by Iranian titles around the world.

Iranian documentary ‘Asak’ won an award at the Ethnocineca – International Documentary Film Festival Vienna. The film directed by Mehdi Zamanpour-Kiasari, grabbed the award for best international short documentary at the 15th edition of the Austrian event.

The documentary is about an 80-year-old blind man, who earns his own living from manufacturing handicrafts from stones he picks from the mountains.

The Maria Luisa Memorial Photo Contest in Spain awarded Iranian short animation ‘Echo’. Barzan Rostami’s short film grabbed the Best Video Animation award at the 31st edition of the Spanish fest, also known as the International Mountain, Nature and Adventure Photo and Video Contest.

The 7-minute film is about understanding and perception of wildlife and environmental abuse, as well as its consequences on human race.

Iranian short flicks ‘Dad’ and ‘My Heart’ were honored at the 11th edition of the Emerging Lens Cultural Film Festival in Canada. ‘Dad’ received the award for Best animation and the Audience Choice Award of the Canadian event went to ‘My Heart’.

Directed by Yasser Talebi, ‘My Heart’ is a 2-minute animation with a touching story about the love students have for their teacher who's sick and hospitalized.

Directed by Mohammad Keivanmarz, ‘Dad’ is a 7-minute animation about a young boy who tries to attract his depressed father’s attention.
