‘Pari’, ‘The Visit’ shine at Iranian Film Festival Zurich

‘Pari and ‘The Visit’ have been named best films at the seventh edition of Iranian Film Festival of Zurich (IFFZ) in Switzerland.

Siamak Etemadi’s ‘Pari’, which is about an Iranian mother named Pari who is looking for her missing son in Athens, won the best feature film award at IFFZ.

The best feature film is awarded the Golden Cyrus Cylinder and a cash price.

In the festival’s Short Film competition, Azadeh Mousavi’s ‘The Visit’ was named the best short film.

‘The Visit’ is about a young girl and her mother who are on their way to visit the father of the family in jail.

The Iranian Film Festival of Zurich defines itself as a platform for presenting the Iranian culture and tradition and for building a bridge between different cultures by the means of the universal language of art – and especially the 7th art, cinema.

The seventh edition of IFFZ took place on May 26-June 3.
