ifilm series memorializes Imam Khomeini

Today marks the death anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini.

On this sad occasion, ifilm website publishes some scenes featuring the actor playing the role of Imam Khomeini in ‘The Enigma of the Shah’.

'The Enigma of the Shah' recounts Iran’s contemporary history, beginning with the rule of Reza Shah Pahlavi and ending with the Islamic Revolution of Iran which brought down the Pahlavi Dynasty. In 1979, the Iranian nation rose up to bring an end to the dictatorship of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi. Led by a charismatic leader named Ayatollah Khomeini, Iranians finally succeeded in changing the country’s system to an Islamic Republic.

Shokrkhoda Goudarzi who had to spend many hours on the makeup chair to look as closely as possible to the late founder of the Islamic Republic shot to fame after playing this role in the series.
