Regina filmfest to host ‘I Won’t Remain Alone’

The Regina International Film Festival & Awards (RIFFA) in Canada has been slated to host Iranian documentary ‘I Won’t Remain Alone’.

Directed by Yasser Talebi during five years, the film will be screened at the main competition section of the 7th edition of the Canadian fest.

‘I Won’t Remain Alone’ follows the story of Sorayya and Seyyed-Jalal, an underprivileged old couple who live in a distant village in north of Iran.

The film paints pictures of forgiveness, love, humanity and immortality.

Talebi has already toured many global events with his award-winning doc ‘Beloved’.

The RIFFA aims to support emerging filmmakers and is committed to help mental health initiatives.

The 2021 edition of the event will be held on August 10-14.
