‘The Doll’ to vie at Female Eye filmfest

Iranian short flick ‘The Doll’ has made its way to the Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) in Canada.

Iranian short flick ‘The Doll’ has made its way to the Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) in Canada.

Directed and written by Elaheh Esmaeeli, the short flick will represent Iran at the 2022 edition of the event.

The short film tells the story of a rescue in the war-torn Syrian city of Aleppo.

In the flick, produced by Hossein Shahabi, a female reporter finds a little girl in the war-torn city and tries to save her life.

Rezvan Beheshtian, Sahar Abdollahi, Mohammad-Javad Asadi, and Nabiollah Minaee are the main cast members of the flick.

Established in 2001, the Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) is a competitive international film festival. It is Toronto’s only international film festival geared specifically for female directors.

The upcoming edition of the festival is scheduled for March 4-7, 2022.
