Parnu filmfest to host Iran’s ‘The Fabric’

Iran’s ‘The Fabric’ wins nom at Parnu Int’l Doc filmfest in Estonia.

Iranian short documentary ‘The Fabric’ has won a nomination at the 2021 Parnu International Documentary Film Festival in Estonia.

Directed by Iman Behrouzi, the 14-minute doc will run for the best student doc award of the festival's 28th edition.

‘The Fabric’ will be competing with ‘Tell Me More’ by Polish director Martyna Peszko, also from Poland ‘Comet’ by Adam Buka and ‘No Body’ by Romanian filmmaker Mihnea Pares Hanitu.

The film that is a joint production of Iran and Germany depicts scenes from the life of a dorm-resident student during the quarantine.

Established in 1987, the Parnu International Documentary Film Festival aims to help people’s cultural survival; therefore, the event takes on docs that show human activities in social, historical or ecological contexts.

This year’s edition of the fest is slated for July 12-25.
