The six-minute video, which was published by ISNA news agency on Tuesday, is part of a 55-minute film named ‘Abbas Kiarostami is Working’ (Abbas Kiarostami mashghoul kar ast) by Samadian, which is about Kiarostami.
The film was made at the request of the Pompidou Centre in France.
It includes photos and videos showing Abbas Kiarostami, which were taken by Samadian as his friend and colleague, as well as the behind-the-scenes of Kiarostami’s films.
The film is being screened at an exhibition themed on Kiarostami, which is underway in the Pompidou Centre.
The exhibition, which will last until July 26, is screening various movies by Kiarostami.
Abbas Kiarostami was born on the first day of the Persian calendar month of Tir, which falls on Tuesday this year.
He is also known as a screenwriter, film editor, art director and producer as well as a poet, photographer, painter, and graphic designer.
Kiarostami won many awards, including the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997 for his feature ‘Taste of Cherry’.
The globally renowned Iranian director died at the age of 76 in 2016. After his demise, a good number of well-reputable film events paid tribute to the mega-director.
