Iranian series cast lip-sync to Rumi song

Main cast of iFilm series ‘Next door Neighbors’ are featured in music video, lip-syncing to song whose lyrics are adapted from the poetry of world-renowned Persian poet Rumi.

The song performed by Mohsen Chavoshi is titled, ‘Thousands of Dreams’ and has been lip-synced by male and female stars of iFilm series ‘Next Door Neighbors’.

The video features Pejman Jamshidi, Roya Teymourian, Homayoun Ershadi, Farhad Ayeesh, Vishka Asayesh Gohar Kheirandish, Azadeh Samadi Reza Naji as the main cast members of the 'Next Door Neighbors'.

The lyrics of the song are adapted from one of Rumi’s poems. The lyrics below are themed on the love of God and that the worthless material world should be abandoned before reaching immortality.     

O the encompassing righteousness

Who are You, then?

Where are You, Our Garden’s flower?

Lily did not show You in a thousand languages

Lily told me not to ask her expect for prayer and praise

The tall cypress cannot be as elevated

As the companions of the angels

We’ll return to our city

We are pure as the gem, not compared to the dust

What we are doing here, let’s pack our belongings and go

Our luck is still young and death is our profession

Our leader is Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
