Various historical palaces, buildings, monuments and structures in Iran’s different cities are a great representative of the Persian architecture and its development over the course of time.
Among all these historical sites, Boroujerdi House is of exceptional beauty and a true image of Iranian art and creativity.
Located in the Iranian city of Kahan, the house belongs to Qajar era and was built by the order of a wealthy merchant known as Boroujerdi. He ordered the house for his son who was getting married to a girl from the wealthy Tabatabaee family.
Many of Iranian great artists cooperated to construct and decorate the house. The construction of the house lasted for 18 years, but all the masters involved in the work presented the best of their art.
Every corner of the house is decorated with amazing stucco, glass work, mirror work and frescoes.
