Iranian cultural festival screening films in Japan

Iran is holding cultural festival in Japan, screening top docs.

Iran has been holding a cultural festival in Tokyo, Japan, screening top Iranian documentaries and videos of musical performances.

Opened as a pre-Olympics program at the Japan International Cooperation Agency on Monday, the festival offers top documentaries on Iran and some videos of performances by a large number of top Iranian music ensembles.

The festival also includes an exhibition titled ‘Beautiful Iran’ which is showcasing photos of the country’s cultural and tourist attractions.

Moreover, the event has been scheduled to offer several exhibitions of Iranian handicrafts and cuisine.

Earlier in February and March, the Embassy of Japan in Tehran organized the Japan Cultural Month virtually, where Japanese artists taught origami, and chefs from the country and Iranian martial arts experts organized some online workshops.

It also screened some documentaries and mini-short films on the theme of “What things make me as a Japanese in Tehran feel at home?”

The two countries organize mutual cultural events every year in order to promote further understanding between Iranian and Japanese people.
