Iran Ammar Filmfest has screening package for Imam Khomeini demise

In conjunction with passing anniv. of Imam Khomeini, late founder of the Islamic Republic, secretariat of Ammar Popular Film Festival has offered a special screening package.

According to the official website for screenings of the fest, three documentaries themed on Imam Khomeini and his remarkable traits are in the package.

Among the chosen items, ‘Far Away Acquaintance’ by Iranian director Majid Azizi narrates the story of an African youth who becomes a Shia Muslim under the inspiring influence of Iran Islamic Revolution. He named all his four sons after remarkable figure in the Islamic Revolution.

Ammar Popular Film Festival has an international section which goes against promotion of “individualism and extreme enjoyment without caring about the society's troubles and other human suppression,” the event’s official website noted.The seventh Ammar Popular Film Festival was held in December, 2016.
