Iranian 'Good Girl' to head to Ischia filmfest

Iranian short 'Good Girl' is to vie at the 2021 Ischia Global Film & Music Fest in Italy.

Iranian short flick 'Good Girl' has been set to be screened at the 19th edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Fest in Italy.

Written and directed by Raheleh Karami and produced by Mani Qandi, 'Good Girl' is accepted to be screened at the competition section of the 2021 edition of the Italian event.

“‘Good Girl’ is not an ordinary short film. It is a short narrative of subdued and unspoken hatreds; silence and breaking from within...,” a synopsis of the film reads.

The cast list of the short film includes Behzad Khalaj, Shaqayeq Faryad-Shiran and Mobina Azadi.

The 15-minute ‘Yocheved’, penned by Karami, was screened at the 38th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival in Iran.

Milad Mansouri’s films ‘Kulbarf’ and ‘Blocked’ will also present Iran at the Italian festival.

Launched in 2003, the Ishcia Global Film Festival is a popular summer film event that accepts films from around the world. Each year leaders of the film industry attend the event that takes place on the isle of Ischia near Naples.

The 2021 edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Fest will take place on July 18-25.
