Just some short kilometers away from the city of Semnan, where the land is mostly barren, Shahmirzad Village with its mesmerizing nature stands.
Although Shahmirzad is located in the midst of the desert, it is one of the greenest and most prosperous destinations in Iran. Walnut trees and gardens are found abundantly in the place and make it one of the biggest producers of this delicious nut in the world.
The average temperature of the village throughout a year is 11 degrees, which makes it an ideal trip destination of any time, yet the best time to visit here is from early spring through to mid autumn. Winters might be so cold for you with the temperature that falls to minus 16 degrees centigrade.
On a trip to the village, travelers must for sure try Tah Chin (crispy Persian Saffron Rice cake with chicken fillings). You could try this food anywhere in Iran but it will be a bit yummier experience here in the village.
As mentioned earlier in this article, walnut is produced prolifically here, so you should know what souvenir to buy upon your visit to Shahmirzad.
