‘Layers of Lies’ to vie at Fajr filmfest

Fajr Film Festival is slated to host an Iranian international action drama.

‘Layers of Lies’ directed by Ramin Sohrab, is a coproduction of Iran, the US and Finland.

The film plans to be presented to the next Cannes Film Festival after the 2022 Fajr Filmfest.

Ramin Sohrab, Nader Fallah, Arman Darvish, Kamran Tafti, Arsalan Ghasemi, Venus Kanelli and Roshanak Gerami star in the film.

The director of ‘Layers of Lies’ told the media: “The risk of making an action movie in Iran is high and I do not know how people will react, but I have tried to make an action movie according to international standards,”

“I hope ‘Layers of Lies’ will be the beginning of making more action movies in Iran.”
