The Florida Animation Festival in the US honored Iranian short flick ‘The Rotation’. Directed and produced by Hazhir Asadi, the 7-minute animation received an Honorable Mention at the “Audience Favorites – We Need to Talk” category of the US event.
‘The Rotation’ shows two tribes that engage in a tug-of-war to possess the sun and moon. None of the sides can defeat the other and their conflict wreaks havoc on the Earth’s climate. An eventual ceasefire brings temporary stability and harmony until unexpected events renew the cycle of conflict and destruction. It is a film about the futility of war and the folly of human efforts to dominate nature.
