Muslims in Iran’s Turkmen Sahra preparing for Eid al-Adha: Photos

Muslims in Iran are preparing for Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice, which will be observed Wednesday in the country.

The 10th day of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th and final month of the Islamic Lunar Calendar marks Eid al-Adha. This year, it falls on Wednesday in Iran.

Buying and wearing new clothes for Eid, performing Eid prayers, visiting relatives, making special recipes and distributing free food are among the traditions of Eid al-Adha.
