Ashkan Rahgozar to judge at Fantasia filmfest

Iranian director Ashkan Rahgozar has been invited to the Fantasia Film Festival in Canada as a jury member.

The writer/director will judge at the animation section of the 2021 edition of the Montreal festival.

Rahgozar will review and evaluate the received animations of the Satoshi Kon Award section alongside two other jury members from France and India.

‘Juliet and the King’ animation is also to premiere at the event.

“In August 2021, the Fantasia International Film Festival will celebrate its 25th edition. Every facet of the filmmaking chain is increasingly represented with in-person delegates at the festival: directors, actors, producers, studio representatives, distributors and festival programmers, who get to experience the legendarily enthusiastic, taste-making audience of Fantasia,” the official website of the event wrote.

The 25th edition of the event is slated for August 5 – 25, 2021.
