The ancient city that has world reputation for its high quality turquoise gives another strong reason for travelers to come and visit the Wooden Mosque located in a village that is also made out of wood.
The wooden buildings are constructed in a deserted village named Mohammadabad Aqazadeh. The wooden village was designed and made by Hamid Mojtahedi, an engineer originally from the old deserted countryside.
Since the wooden village has been founded, it has invited multitude of tourists who rush to see the amazing constructions.
The mosque itself is considered to be an earthquake-proof building in the shape of a capsized boat with two minarets.
The other buildings made in the village are a library, a restaurant, a museum and a home owned by Mojtahedi.
