Iran’s ‘The War Within’ to participate at FICQ in Ecuador

Iranian short flick ‘The War Within’ has made its way to the Quito International Film Festival (FICQ) in Ecuador.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported on Wednesday that ‘The War Within’ will be screened at the sixth edition of the FICQ.

Written and directed by Javid Farahani, ‘The War Within’ is about a handicapped man who has lost his legs in an accident and is busy in the foreign currency market as a speculator.

He is holding foreign currencies in the hope of selling them at a higher rate to pay the cost of his surgery.

The film is starring Farhad Najafi and Shima Khosheqbal.

‘The War Within’ was previously screened at the 74th Salerno International Film Festival in Italy.

The FICQ was founded in 2016 by Cine Udla, the film school rooted in Universidad de Las Américas. It has been created as a festival to discover new talents and trends, according to an online submission platform.

The upcoming edition of the festival will be held on August 17-22.
