‘Cold Season’ to vie at Uruguay’s Film Schools

Iran’s ‘Cold Season’ is to go on screen at the Int’l Film Schools Fest in Uruguay.

Iranian short flick ‘Cold Season’ has been slated to go on screen at the International Film Schools Festival (FIEC) in Uruguay.

Directed by Shahin Karimi, the short film will be shown at the main competition section of the 21st edition of the event.

‘Cold Season’ is a production of the Elmi-Karbordi University of Sanandaj.

The film tells the story of a mother of two girls and expecting another. She does not seem to be happy with the birth of her third daughter as she knows that her husband will marry another woman hoping to have a son.

Baran Ahmadi and Heydar Gholami are the cast members of the flick.

Karimi’s short flick will soon take part in the Galichnik Film Festival in Macedonia.

Launched in 2000 and planned by Uruguayan Film School and Cinemateca Uruguaya, the FIEC is dedicated to select films made at film schools around the world.

This year’s edition of the fest is set to be held on August 18-22.
