Iranian ‘Barter’ to vie at Bolton Int’l filmfest

Iranian short ‘Barter’ is to compete at the Bolton Int’l filmfest in the UK.

Iranian short flick ‘Barter’ has been selected to compete at the Bolton International Film Festival in the UK.

Co-directed by Ziba Karamali and Emad Arad, the short film tells the story of an adolescent boy who leads his family to get involved in some incidents just because he wants to hide his secret.

Sara Bahrami and Alireza Sanifar are among the cast members of the flick.

Arad and Karamali’s short flick has already gone on screen at the Tehran International Short Film Festival in Iran and the Huesca International Film Festival in Spain.

According to the website of the Bolton Film Festival, “Celebrating films from home and abroad, Bolton Film Festival acts as an amplifier of emerging and established talent. Through its industry talks, master-classes and networking sessions it aims to break open the door to a creative industry that many people find difficult to access and navigate”.

The 2021 edition of the BAFTA-Qualifying short film festival will be held on September 29-October 3.
