Chania festival to screen Iran’s ‘The Statue'

Iranian animated short flick ‘The Statue’ has made its way to the Chania Film Festival (CFF) in Greece.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘The Statue’, directed by Mohsen Salehifard, will be screened at the 9th edition of the CFF.

‘The Statue’ is about a sculptor who has difficulty in making his statues.

The Chania Film Festival is designed and organized by the AMKE "Cultural Society of Crete”, which was founded in 2002 “with the aim of cultivating and promoting cultural, educational, informational, artistic and related publishing activities”, the event’s website reads.

“The CFF is a mature fruit of the film interventions and synergies of the Cultural Society of Crete.”

The 9th edition of the Chania Film Festival will take place on October 20-30.
