The MOTELx fest in Portugal is to screen Iran-US feature ‘The Night’.

The MOTELx- Lisbon International Horror Film Festival in Portugal has scheduled to screen Iran-US feature ‘The Night’.

Directed by Kourosh Ahari, the 105-minute horror movie will be shown at the main competition section of the 15th edition of the fest.

A joint production of Iran and the US, ‘The Night’ is about an Iranian couple and their one-year-old daughter on the way back home from a friendly party.

On the way, they get lost and find a hotel to spend the night. The hotel is where the facts of their life melt into hallucinations and the revelation of some secrets threaten the family to fall apart.

The cast list of the movie includes Leah Oganyan, Niousha Jafarian, and Shahab Hosseini.

‘The Night’ was premiered in the US movie theaters on January 29.

American company, Premiere Entertainment Group, is the international distributor of the flick.

The flick marks Ahari’s directorial debut and Hosseini’s debut performance in a US-based production.

While the MOTELx promotes horror movies from around the world, it also accepts film productions of different genres.

This year’s edition of the Portuguese event is slated for September 7-13.
