International Festival of Short Film to host Iranian ‘Passport’

The 2021 Unprecedented Cinema in Estonia is to host Iranian short film ‘Passport’.

Iranian short film ‘Passport’ has been selected to compete at the 2021 Unprecedented Cinema –International Festival of Short Film in Estonia.

Written and directed by Kousha Afrasiabi, the 13-minute flick tells the story of a prestigious doctor who returns to his office building after a few days off. But something strange is happening there.

The doctor, who enters his neighbor's apartment to find out the truth, subconsciously enters an adventure that he has unintentionally started!

And the more he tries to get out of this game, the more he sinks!

“Some of the threads are closed at the end,” a tagline for the flick reads.

The cast list of ‘Passport’ includes Homayoun Ershadi, Siavash Cheraghipour, Khatereh Hatami, Navid Siahtiri, Peyman Mohseni, and Soheil Mostajabian.

The short flick has so far gone on screen at some global events such as the Under the Moon International Film Festival (Islantilla Cinefórum) in Spain.

Lunched in 2001, the Unprecedented Cinema Festival aims to screen films by young writers and filmmakers. Previous editions of the festival have almost screened films from 70 countries.

The event will be held on September 3-5, 2021.
