iFilm exclusive on Iranian feature ‘The Son’

iFilm English TV has released exclusive report on Iranian feature film ‘The Son’ directed by Noushin Meraji.

iFilm interviewed the director, the producer Mehdi Fard-Qaderi, and the actor Soheil Qannadan.

‘The Son’ is about Farid, a forty-year-old man who lives with his mother. He is very vulnerable and escapes loneliness, but in the meantime tries to prove himself independent and supportive of his mother. However, her sudden death makes Farid frustrated.

To escape from this unfamiliar situation, he clings to anyone he encounters outside home to make this loneliness bearable, but he does not know how to communicate and the situation goes from bad to worse.

The cast list of the movie includes Qanaddan, Nahid Haddadi, Donya Heidari, Mojtaba Fallahi, Maryam Naqib, and Atabak Naderi.

‘The Son’ went on screen at some global events, including the International Film Festival Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and the Moscow International Film Festival in Russia, where it won two awards for best directing and best actor in a leading role.
