Animasyros Int’l Animation Festival to screen Iranian ‘Anima’

The Animasyros International Animation Festival in Greece has been scheduled to screen Iranian animation ‘Anima’.

Directed by Mahboubeh Mohammadzaki, the 10-minute animation will be screened at the 14th edition of the Greek event.

‘Anima’ tells the story of a person who has become entangled in his own differences and is dealing with some problems in accepting his true self.

The dialogue-less 2D animation was screened at the Tricky Women 2021 filmfest in Austria.

The Animasyros International Animation Festival is the largest festival and animation market of its kind in Greece and one of the most important ones globally.

This year, the main theme of the festival is Freedom, inspired by the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, while for the first time it includes MEDAnima, a tribute to artists and animated films from the wider Mediterranean region.

The 2021 edition of the festival will be held on September 22-26 in Syros, Greece.
