Iran-France film ‘Solar Eclipse’ is to vie at the 21st Nice Film Festival in France.

‘Solar Eclipse’, a co-production of Iran and France, is set to make a new global appearance at the 21st Nice Film Festival in France.

‘Solar Eclipse’ is a joint production of Iran-based Zel Sheshom Film Company and White Star, which is a film and audiovisual production company based in France.

The Manifest Company is also in charge of the international distribution of the short film.

“Shortly before the eclipse is complete, the reality of someone’s life changes,” reads as a brief synopsis of the film.

The cast list includes Faraz Modiri, Payman Naeemi, Anita Baqeri, Paniz Esmaeeli, Khorshid Cheraghipour.

‘Solar Eclipse’ has previously taken part at the 30th Côté Court Festival in France, the 11th Figari Film Festival (FFF) in Italy, the 43rd Outdoor Short Film Festival of Grenoble in France, the 2021 Rhode Island International Film Festival in the US and the LA Shorts International Film Festival.

In early October, the short flick will also participate in the 16th Show Me Shorts Film Festival in New Zealand.

The Nice International Filmmaker Festival aims “to create an opportunity for filmmakers to show their work to the right audience, and get closer to success by receiving recognition for their art,” writes the event’s official website.

The upcoming edition of the event will take place on October 8-15, 2021.
