Renowned Iranian vocalist Alireza Qorbani and Azerbaijan’s Alim Qasimov are to hold a joint concert at the 18th International İstanbul Music Festival in Turkey.

Qorbani and Qasimov will be also accompanied by other artists from Iran and Azerbaijan at the concert.

This joint concert is not the first time the two artists are collaborating as the two released a single track called ‘Rababi’ last year which was based on a poem by the great Iranian poet Rumi. The music composition was presented in both Persian and Azerbaijani languages.

Qorbani, who became a foremost singer at the age of 30, has performed some well-known score pieces for several series aired by iFilm English TV channel, including ‘The Recluse’, ‘The British Briefcase’, ‘The Tenth Night’, ‘Zero Degree Turn’, and ‘Leila’s Loneliness’.

Kimia’ is also one of the many Iranian screening productions for which Qorbani has performed the score music.

He presents his works in a small group of four musicians, as well as with the National Orchestra of Iran.

The music event is slated to take place in the Turkish city of Konya on September 30, 2021.
