Iran Cinema Museum to screen nostalgic Iranian films

The Tehran-based Cinema Museum of Iran is scheduled to screen a lineup of nostalgic Iranian movies of recent decades.

Organized in association with the National Film Archive of Iran and the Farabi Foundation, the screening will start on Friday, October 8 in Tehran.

Among the films are Nasser Taqvaee’s 1987 masterpiece ‘Captain Khorshid’, ‘The Bride of Fire’ by the late filmmaker Khosrow Sinaee, Majid Majidi’s 1999 drama ‘The Color of God’ and Masoud Kimiai’s 1990 war drama ‘Snake Fang’.

Dariush Mehrjouee’s celebrated ‘The Cow’ (1969) will also be premiered followed by the first-time screening of some footage of the production on October 21, the final day of the program.

The National Film Archive and Farabi Foundation have conducted the color correction process on the movies.

One film will be screened each night at 19:00 local time at the museum in northern Tehran.

The Cinema Museum of Iran was launched in September 1994, aiming to collect, safeguard, record and provide a proper presentation of the Iranian cinematic heritage.
