Iranian award-winning movie ‘A Hero’ is slated to vie at the Sydney Film Festival (SFF) in Australia.

Asghar Farhadi’s latest directorial experience will represent Iran at the feature films section of this year’s edition of the event.

‘A Hero’ is about Rahim, a divorced man who has been imprisoned due to unpaid debt. During a two-day leave, Rahim tries to prove that he is a good person.

The movie is starring Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh, and Fereshteh Sadr-Orafaee.

‘A Hero’ was awarded the Grand Prix at the 74th Cannes Film Festival in France. The prize was also shared by Juho Kuosmanen’s ‘Compartment n°6’.

Sydney Film Festival plays a vital role in the Australian screen ecosystem and the Festival recognizes the immense impact the cancellation will have on the filmmaking, exhibition and distribution community, as well as audiences, volunteers, sponsors, donors and staff.

The 68th edition of the event is scheduled for November 3-21, 2021.
