‘The Rotation’ on way to ISFF Detmold

Iran’s ‘The Rotation’ is to screen at Short filmfest Detmold in Germany.

Iranian short film ‘The Rotation’ has been set to go on screen at the 17th edition of the International Short Film Festival Detmold (ISFF Detmold) in Germany.

Hazhir Asadi’s 7-minute animation will be among the screenings of the third day of the event that is scheduled for October 22-24.

‘The Rotation’ shows two tribes that engage in a tug-of-war to possess the sun and the moon.

None of the sides can defeat the other and their conflict wreaks havoc on the Earth’s climate.

An eventual ceasefire brings temporary stability and harmony until unexpected events renew the cycle of conflict and destruction.

It is a film about the futility of war and the folly of human efforts to dominate nature.

‘The Rotation’ went on screen at a number of global events, including the River Film Festival in Italy, the Fort Lauderdale Int’l Film Festival in the US, the MikroFAF Int’l festival of DIY and independent short films in Serbia and the International Youth Film Festival "Light of the World” in Russia.

The ISFF Detmold is an annual film event that takes place in the region of Ostwestfalen-Lippe. The fest that is an arena for creative filmmakers hosts around 3000 short films from around the world each year.
