The poet whose elevated religious poetry can offer every reader a sense of great spirituality is honored in Iran this year on October 12.

The tomb of Hafez also known as Hafezieh is located in a lovely garden, enjoying a unique atmosphere of peace and calm.

For many years, there was just a plain tombstone for the internationally celebrated poet before a domed vault was constructed over his burial place.
