Finnish-Iranian movie ‘Any Day Now’ releases trailer

Finnish-Iranian feature film ‘Any Day Now’ has released a trailer.

Directed by Iranian-Finnish filmmaker Hami Ramezan, the film narrates the story of a young boy of 13 whose life in a village in Finland turns upside down when his parents’ application for asylum gets rejected.

In production of ‘Any Day Now’, what inspired Ramezan was his own personal experiences upon his arrival in Finland in 1990.

Shahab Hosseini portrays the role of the father of the particular family who don’t sink into despair regardless of their insecure and uncertain life in a country that does not want to accept them.

Aran-Sina Keshvari, Shabnam Qorbani and Kimiya Eskandari form the rest of the cast members in the film.

The movie went on screen at some global events, including the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) in Germany and the Beijing International Film Festival in China, where Hosseini garnered the award for best actor.
