Jokandan Lagoon, mystical place to pass time

Jokandan wetland in Talesh city, part of Lisar and Jokandan protected area along the Caspian Sea, is one of the coastal marine wetlands and one of the rare wetlands in Gilan Province.

On rainy days, sometimes the water of the Caspian Sea overflows and enters this lagoon; and on normal days, a coast appears between this lagoon and the Caspian Sea.

The depth of this wetland at its deepest point rarely exceeds 1 meter, so it is not possible to sail in it.

In the past, there were many alder trees in and around this lagoon.
