‘Hit the Road’ by Panah Panahi will take part in the Singaporean event’s Asian Feature Film Competition.
The feature is about “a chaotic family that sets off on a road trip which will change their lives forever”, according to a synopsis for the film.
Ten new films by directors making their first to third features are taking part in the Asian Feature Film Competition.
“This year, four of these mark directorial debuts, highlighting a new generation of exciting talent in Asia. The dynamism of the region is fully expressed through each film’s distinct localism and diversity of style,” the event’s website reads.
Earlier reports said ‘A Hero’ by Asghar Farhadi will participate in the Foreground section of the SGIFF.
The 32nd Singapore International Film Festival will take place on November 25 – December 5, 2021.
