Grand OFF nominates Iran’s ‘Cloudy Man’

The 15th edition of the Grand OFF World Independent Film Awards in Poland has granted a nomination to Iranian short flick ‘Cloudy Man’.

Mahmoud Nazaralian will run for best actor in a short film award for his role in the flick.

Written and directed by Shahin Jalali, ‘Cloudy Man’ tells the story of a man facing some unexpected events.

Besides Nazaralian, who plays the lead role of the film, Akbar Sadeqi, Ardeshir Zahed, Hamdollah Salimi, Rasoul Alinejad, and Mohammad Faraji are on the cast list of the flick.

‘Cloudy Man’ has already taken part in a number of global events, including the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.

As the most important initiative promoting independent Cinema in Poland and one of the most important initiatives in the world, the Grand Off was brought to life in 2006.

The World Independent Cinema Awards Grand OFF is a cultural event that draws attention on the phenomenon of independent cinema and gives it a proper rank, seriousness and prestige.

This year’s edition of the event will be held on November 29-December 06 in Warsaw, capital of Poland.
