Iranians mark National Nurses Day

Iranians have observed the National Nurses Day, which marks the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zeinab (AS), the granddaughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the sister of Imam Hussein (AS), the 3rd Shia Imam.

National Nurses Day in Iran marks the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zeinab (AS) and is observed on the fifth day of the month of Jumada-al-Awwal on the Islamic calendar.

This year, the day falls on December 10.

The Nurses Day marks a chance to honor the sacrifices of the Mercy Angels who have been on the frontlines of the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic for nearly two years.

On Thursday night, Some Iranian headed to the holy shrine of Hazrat Fatemeh Masumeh (AS) in Qom to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zeinab (AS).
