‘Sky Sun, Tile Sun’ vying at Sedicicorto fest

Iranian animation ‘Sky Sun, Tile Sun’ has been competing at the 2021 edition of the Sedicicorto International Film Festival in Italy.

The festival has a special section for Iranian films titled ‘IranFest’. The animation is vying at the 4th edition of this section.

Directed by Ziba Arzhang, the 6-minute film is about a city painted on a tile that undergoes intense explosion and bombardment.

Due to the incident, the sun breaks into many pieces and the city gets dark. But the people build a new sun together.

The Iranian animation has participated in several international film festivals, including the international film festival for children and young people (Anifest Rozafa) in Albania, the LAMPA - International festival of short films, social video, and advertising in Russia, the Golden Beggar International Film Festival in Slovakia, the Florida International Animation Festival and the Fine Arts Film Festival in the US, the River International Film Festival in Italy, and the Washington DC International Film Festival in the US.

According to the official website of the Sedicicorto, “IranFest  - the Persian soul of Sedicicorto IFF - is back for its fourth edition, taking place LIVE  in Forlì at the  Sala San Luigi, on the evenings of 15, 16, and 17 December”.
