Sundance filmfest to show ‘More Than Two Hours’

Iran’s ‘More Than Two Hours’ is to screen at Sundance filmfest in US.

Iranian short film ‘More Than Two Hours’ is set to take part in the Sundance Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Ali Asgari, the 15-minute flick will be on screen at the Anniversary Short section of the American event’s 37th edition.

‘More Than Two Hours’ is about a boy and a girl who wander the city at 3 in the morning. They are looking for a hospital that will admit the girl, but it is much harder to find one that they could think.

Much acclaimed Iranian cineaste Farnough Samadi along with Ali Asgari wrote the scenario for this 2013 production.

Shahrzad Ghasemi, Safoora Kazempoor and Taha Mohammadi are the main cast members of the flick.

In 2013, the film took part in the Cannes Film Festival in France to compete for a Palme d’Or.

As the largest independent film festival in the United State, the Sundance is an annual film festival that includes out-of-competition categories for showcasing new films as well as competitive categories for documentary and dramatic films, both feature length and short films, in which awards are given.

The 37th Sundance Film Festival is slated for January 20-30, 2022.
