Take a listen to ‘Battle’ symphonic poem

Take a listen to ‘Battle’ symphonic poem in memory of General Qassem Soleimani.

Let’s take a listen to a piece from the symphonic poem album of ‘Sarbaz’ (Soldier) in memory of Martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

The album is comprised of six tracks, including ‘Sarbaz’ (Soldier), ‘Mihan’ (Homeland), ‘Peykar’ (Battle), ‘Pedar’ (Father), ‘Allah-o Akbar’ (God is Great), and ‘Fath’ (Victory).

The attached video presents ‘Peykar’ (Battle) music piece. The music of the symphonic poem has been composed by Arman Mehraban and Mohammad-Ali Moaddab wrote the lyrics.

General Soleimani - the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) - was assassinated by a US drone strike at Baghdad’s international airport on January 3, 2020.

Here is an English translation of the lyrics:

You are of shouts, swords of battle morning

You are awake at nights with the moon until dawn

You are son of a farmer, affection in your heart

Life grows wherever you step

Breath of spirit of God evolved your being

So many doves grew up by your hand

You are of shouts, swords of battle morning

Troop of giants runs away from you

Every rock is a rocket in your hand

Your heart is glorious but you’re not proud

Your eyes redefine meaning of commandership

Remember us during midnight cries

You are of swords, smiles of meeting morning
