Milad Tower to host Fajr festival

Milad Tower in Iran’s capital, Tehran, is to host the 40th edition of Fajr Film Festival (FFF).

Milad Tower in Iran’s capital, Tehran, is set to host the 40th edition of Fajr Film Festival (FFF).

The main screening venue of the 40th edition of FFF has been changed from Charsou Cineplex to Milad Tower in Tehran.

The decision was made on Monday during a meeting between Mohammad Khazaee, head of the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs, Amin Tavakolizadeh, a deputy mayor of Tehran municipality, and Masoud Naqashzadeh, the director of the 2022 FFF.

The 2022 edition of the event will take place on February 1-11.

The FFF coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

An international version of the event will be held later in 2022.

Starting from 2023, the domestic and international versions of Fajr will be once again held as part of one event titled “Fajr International Film Festival”.

Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
