Moinho Cine Fest to screen Iran’s ‘Lean on the Water’

Iranian short documentary ‘Lean on the Water’ has made its way to the 2022 Moinho Cine Fest in Portugal, bringing to three the number of films that will represent Iran at the international festival.

The Short Film News reported that ‘Lean on the Water’, directed by Sarah Barati, will be screened at the 4th edition of the Portuguese event next spring.

The film is about an old man and old woman whose life faces a serious challenge due to a natural happening, but they are hopeful that the conditions would change, a synopsis for the film reads.

Earlier reports said Iranian short films ‘Lullaby’ and ‘Dancing with Rainbow’ will also take part in the Moinho Cine Fest.

The Moinho Cine Fest is “an international film festival for micro and films with prizes and screening fees”, according to an online submission platform.

The 4th edition of the festival will take place on April 1-30.
