Asghar Farhadi’s ‘A Hero’ and ‘Just 6.5’ by Saeed Roustaee that had public screenings in French theaters are not qualified to be among candidates at this year’s edition of the César Award, which will be announced on January 26.
After its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and winning the Grand Prix, ‘A Hero’ came into theaters in France by the Momento Pictures film company. The film grossed around 1.48 million dollars in France’s cinemas.
Saeed Roustaee’s movie went on French screens through Wild Bunch film distributing company and succeeded to gain 1.3 million dollars revenues.
The César Award gala will be held on February 25 in Paris.
