Soleimanzadeh selected as jury member at Berlinale

Iranian filmmaker Hamed Soleimanzadeh has been selected as a jury member at the Berlin International Film Festival in Germany.

The film critic will judge the competing films for the FIPERSCI Award at the 2022 edition of the event.

Soleimanzadeh has previously judged at various international film festivals including Cannes filmfest.

Besides being a film critic, Soleimanzadeh is a filmmaker, theater director, actor, author and a university professor. He is currently a member of Fipresci, Iranian Short Film Association (ISFA) and the European Children’s Film Association (ECFA).

Founded in 1951, the Berlin International Film Festival is one of the world’s leading film events which is held in Germany and is celebrated annually in February.

The 72nd edition of the event is scheduled for February 10-20, 2022.
