UK Artisan film festival awards Iran’s ‘Bubble’

Iranian short film ‘Bubble’ grabs three awards at the Artisan International Film Festival in the UK.

Iranian short film ‘Bubble’ has grabbed three awards at the Artisan International Film Festival in the UK.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Bubble’ received the Best Writing, and Best Poster awards, as well as an Honorable Mention at the November/December 2021 season of the event.

Written and directed by Mahmoud Arib, the film tells the story of a man who emigrates without saying goodbye or informing anyone. While he is in a foreign country, his mother does not answer his calls.

The film has previously managed to grab several awards at various international festivals, including the Aryan International Children’s Film Festival of Jaipur (AICFFJ) in India.

The Artisan International Film Festival is a new bi-monthly festival.

The festival accepts films by up-and-coming or established filmmakers from around the world.

“Winners for each month qualify for the Annual Awards,” reads an online submission platform.

The winners of the November/December 2021 season were announced last week.
