iFilm exclusive report on Iranian feature ‘The City of Cats’

iFilm English TV Channel has released an exclusive report on Iranian movie ‘The City of Cats’ produced, written and directed by Seyyed-Javad Hashemi.

iFilm interviewed the director, the actors Yousef Teymouri and Mir-Taher Mazloumi, the stage designer Ali Shayanfar, the music composer Behnam Sabouhi, the visual effects designer Mohammad-Reza Najafi-Emami, and a number of cinema-goers.

The fantasy movie tells the story of a number of cats from Gorbestan. They have decided to take part in a competition to win the award which is travelling to the city of cats.

However, the ruler of the city of cats is trying to steal the life of the cats entering to the city and add their lives to his own lifetime!

This is while Shangoul and a number of other cats are determined to fight the oppressing ruler.

In addition to Teymouri and Mazloumi, the cast list of the fantasy movie includes Alireza Khamseh, Niousha Zeyghami, Farhad Ayeesh, Amin Zendegani, Amir Ghaffarmanesh, Elika Abdolrazzaqi, Maryam Saadat, Reza Banafshehkhah, Daryoush Movaffaq, and Cat Trump(!).
