iFilm exclusive report on 3rd day of 40th Fajr Film Festival

iFilm English TV Channel has released an exclusive report on the third day of the 40th Fajr Film Festival (FFF) in Iran.

‘Layers of Lies’ directed by Ramin Sohrab and produced by the Finnish company Sonram Productions in collaboration with the Farabi Cinema Foundation as well as ‘The Last Snow’ directed by Amir-Hossein Asgari and produced by Hassan Mostafavi went on screen on the third day of the 40th FFF.

‘Layers of Lies’ is the first joint Iranian-Finnish action film produced in 2021. Written by the director, Amir-Hossein Makouee, Sami Laulajaine, and Christopher Larsen, the movie is about an Iranian firefighter who saves the life of a person and then faces some challenges in his life.

Sohrab, the director of the film, has played the role of the firefighter. The others on the cast list are Jessica Wolff, Nader Fallah, Kamran Tafti, Majid Saeedi, Arsalan Qasemi, Venus Conley, Arman Darvish, and Milad Mirzaee.

In the part related to ‘Layers of Lies’, iFilm TV interviewed the director, the producer Mohsen Sarrafi, Qasemi, and Saeedi.

‘The Last Snow’ narrates the life of a veterinary physician who lives in northern parts of Iran. It has been nominated in 12 categories, including best film, best director, best actor, and best actress, at the 40th FFF.

The cast list includes Amin Hayaee, Ladan Mostofi, Majid Salehi, Noushin Masoudian, Sadeq Malek, Mehdi Mehraban, and Amir Mashhadi-Abbas.
