2023 Fajr crafts festival to be held internationally

The deputy of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts of Iran has announced that the 2023 Fajr Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival is to be held internationally.

The 7th edition of the festival will be held on February 2023 focusing on the area of Asia and the Pacific.

The sixth edition of the national event received 570 artworks, among which the jury panel selected and displayed over 300 crafts.

Fajr Festivals are annually held in Iran during the Fajr Decade (literally meaning ten days of dawn) which marks the anniversary of the ten days from the return of Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, to Iran (February 1) until the victory day of the Islamic Revolution (February 11) in 1979.

Fajr Festivals include Fajr Film Festival, Fajr Theater Festival, Fajr Music Festival and Fajr Festival of Visual Arts among others.

The 7th edition of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Fajr Festival is scheduled to be held in 2023.
