iFilm English TV releases exclusive report on 10th day of the 40th Fajr Film Festival.

iFilm English TV Channel has released an exclusive report on the tenth day of the 40th Fajr Film Festival (FFF) in Iran.

‘2888’ produced by Keyvan Alimohammadi and directed by Alimohammadi and Ali-Akbar Heydari and ‘Against’ (Zed) produced by Mohammad-Reza Shafiee and directed by Amir-Abbas Raniee went on screen on the tenth day of the 40th FFF.

‘2888’ is about Operation Baghdad, which was carried out over the Iraqi capital by pilots Abbas Doran and Mahmoud Eskandari on July 21, 1982. The operation conducted with two McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II fighter jets was intended to challenge the security of Baghdad, which was scheduled to host a summit conference of the Non-Aligned Movement. The fighter-bombers were hit after they locked on to their targets during the operation. Doran crashed into an area near the Al-Rasheed Hotel, while Eskandari managed to land his plane in Iran.

The cast list of includes Hadi Hejazifar, Hamed Komeyli, Kambiz Dirbaz, Amin Hayaee, Sam Derakhshani, Kourosh Tahami, Ahmad Mehranfar, Reza Yazdani, Kamran Tafti, Saeed Changizian, Ramin Nasser-Nasir, Siavash Mofidi, Kazem Sayyahi, Milad Rahimi, Reza Aftabi, and Houman Alaee.

In the part related to ‘2888’, iFilm TV interviewed the directors, Mofidi, the editor Siavash Pourkhalili, and the music composer Saman Ehteshami.

‘Against’ is a political drama about some incidents in Iran some 40 years ago. It tells a love story in the middle of political events.

The cast list of includes Mehdi Nosrati, Leila Zare, Nader Soleymani, Linda Kiani, Mahshid Javadi, Majid Potki, Rouzbeh Raoufi, Emad Darvishi, and Shirin Aqakashi.

In the part related to ‘Against’, iFilm TV interviewed the director, the script consultant Javad Mougouee, Potki, and Soleymani.

‘Against’ was nominated in seven categories and won two Chrystal Simorgh awards at the 40th FFF.
