Iran’s ‘Rebel Hall’ to compete at BransonIFF

Iran’s short animation ‘Rebel Hall’ has been set to compete at the Branson International Film Festival (BransonIFF) in the US.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Rebel Hall’, directed by Hassan Mokhtari, will take part in the 2022 edition of the US event.

"We cross infinity with every step; we meet eternity in every second," a synopsis for the film reads.

The film previously took part in the Bakunawa Young Cinema film festival in the Philippines, along with other short films from Iran, including ‘Immigrant’, The Note’, ‘Four Pillars’ and ‘Gear’.

The BransonIFF is “a family friendly festival”.

Its mission is “to educate, equip, and empower filmmakers in the area of story, funding, production, distribution”.

The upcoming edition of the festival will take place on April 21-23.
